G-NMR is a DFG-funded project for networking German NMR centers (AZ SCHW 701/10-1), led by the Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance Center (BMRZ) of the University of Frankfurt/Main and the Bavarian NMR Center (BNMRZ) of the Technical University of Munich.

Access to NMR spectrometers plays an important role in many research areas. The shared use of such resources - such as in equipment centers - can therefore provide effective utilization and meaningful scientific service. However, the establishment of centers often encounters hurdles that go hand in hand with the necessary financial and personnel-intensive structuring processes.
G-NMR wants to contribute to an overall improved research infrastructure by providing appropriate usage and management concepts. The project was presented as part of the GDCh specialist group conference "Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy" in Halle/Saale on September 20th, 2012. At this meeting it was decided to set up working groups which will take over the further coordination of the individual sub-areas (see project) and meet on March 26th 2013 in Frankfurt/Main.
